Scopus List of Indexed Journals (Updated 2020)

Indexing databases provide the most common and accessible ways to read published academic work. Find out how to find, read, and cite all the research you need using Scopus's List of Indexed Journals for 2020.

What are Scopus logs?

Scopus is one of the largest and most trusted abstract and citation databases for academic literature. It contains more than 40,000 titles from more than 10,000 international publishers, and nearly 35,000 of these publications are peer reviewed. Scopus covers different formats (books, journals, conference papers, etc.) in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities.

What is the Scopus Source List?

The list of Scopus journals consists of publications indexed serially or not. Examples of serials are journals, annuals (such as reports, yearbooks and directories) and book series, and these are given an ISSN (International Standard Serial Number). Non-series include single books, monographs, reports, etc., and are assigned an ISBN (International Standard Book Number).

The full list of titles is available on the Scopus website, on the Title page of the dedicated source. You can also download the Source and Book titles lists through Elsevier, the publishing and analysis company that owns Scopus.

The All Science Journal Classification (ASJC) code list represents classifications by subject, allowing better navigation through thousands of journals. For each source listed, Scopus provides the ASJC code in an appropriate category, and a post can be assigned to one or more of these categories.

You can view the code list here.

How do I find logs in Scopus?

Open the Sources page with the Scopus list search to see a general selection of journals represented in the database. Here you will see the search criteria (domain, title, publisher, ISSN), the type of source, CiteScore metrics for journals and periodicals, and display options.

For example, you can enter the domain (or domains) and click Apply. The page will display if any current content is available for viewing, based on the search criteria and filters applied. To search for a specific journal, enter the title in the search bar and check if the title is properly indexed.
